Reel Gardening

Part of our big drive towards sustainability throughout Londolozi has been the development of a nursery and vegetable gardens in the Londolozi village. These hotspots are the foundations of a greater goal to decrease our carbon footprint whilst increasing the sustainability of organic foods and local champions’ income. The vegetables grown by the individuals at Londolozi are bought by the kitchen to ensure that fresh, organic produce is always being served to our guests. Londolozi Olympian

August 24, 2009

I am not talking of the Olympians doing gymnastics or running the hundred meters, although he does enjoy running after the ball on the soccer field. I am talking about Siyabulela Kobo although most of us know him as Siya. He is our Executive Sous Chef and Londolozi Olympian who will be representing South Africa at the 2012 Olympics. Siya is part of Culinary Team South Africa and one of eighteen chefs chosen to showcase their skills and compete against many other countries for the coveted Gold Medal.
