on Everything You Need to Know About South African Borders, Latest Update: All Restrictions Dropped!

Excellent information- can’t wait to come home!

We look forward to welcoming you home soon, Kara!

Thank you. This information is really helpful, however for those of us who have to travel 10,000 miles with 11 hours layover in another country before arriving at Tambo airport, the 72 hours test including results is at the moment an impossibility. I have a reservation for 6 days beginning early April 😬. Let’s hope these restrictions loosen up by March.

Yes, we hope that the situation world-wide improves over the next few months and are really looking forward to welcoming you in April.

Amanda, I due to make the final payment for my trip to South Africa March end, coming to Londolozi April 1 for 6 days. Are there any rumors that the border will close again and thus all lodges? Also as a US citizen I will need a Covid test 72 hours prior to departure and carry the certificate with me to re-enter SF. I leave Londolozi April 7 for Joberg and then depart evening, April 8 for home. Will I be able to get the test there and the result? It must be the PCR. Thank you for your help. Denise

Thanks for this update Amanda! As always, you all are doing it right! We can’t wait to return and are scheduled for July! Hoping to see you then!

Excellent advice and information.
I will get into contact at the end of January and hope that by then it will be clear whether travel from Switzerland is possible or not.

Thanks for the excellent information.
I have booked and can’t wait to come though I have to wait for a couple more weeks to make sure that it is really possible, that our national carrier really flies. Keep your fingers crossed! They have new ideas and restrictions here every few days.
I guess that everything will be fine as soon as I get to Londolozi

Have just returned to the USA from South Africa and am happy to report that my travel plans, though they didn’t include Londolozi this trip, went off seamlessly! It was so good to be back in the Greater Kruger and be spoiled by the magnificent wildlife and scenery once again. It’s easy to maintain social distance on safari and I appreciate all of the extra measures taken by the hospitality industry to ensure guest safety right now. Getting the required PCR test results for return was a breeze as testing sites are plentiful and even available on airport. Can’t believe I’m already looking forward to a return trip in 2022.
