Priceless!

I love it! So true!

I love your wife’s question.
But tbe leopard IS the most intelligent of them all

I loved this comparison!! Well done Sean.

I hope Sam took the comparison as the compliment you intended🤔

What an absolutely amazing analogy!!! And yes, definitely a leopard compliment to both! This blog resurfaced old memories after a 24 hour first labor many years ago sleeping deeply in recovery, but startling wide awake after another mother’s birthing with her infant’s initial cry. Then there were those years of adjusting sleep to children’s needs, career schedules and hopefully weekend catchups. Now in my 70s please help me find any kind of a restful sleep pattern!!! lol Thank you Sean for more astute and interesting observations.

Brilliant!!

As always , Amazing and heartwarming story.
Having met Sam , ( and you as well), on our
Recent visit , your comparison of Sam and the mother Leopard is a compliment, as you
Describe true motherhood!
Thanks for keeping us all close to the bush!!

Hi Sean, I have had a lot of fun while reading those absolutely captivating , either humorous and full of deep meaning and true observation of biological rhythm…. leopards are magical. Magical mothers, so I’m sure Sam is as well. Thank you, if you’ll decide to write a third part I’m here waiting for it….

Great insight! Love the personal touch, but I’ll have to confirm with Sam when I see her in July!

Love this! I remember those days fondly even thru the chaos! And would happily be compared to a leopard! Wonderful blog 🙂

Love this, Sean! It is a good comparison for all mothers! Can’t believe your two are growing up so fast! Enjoy them and all their precious moments! Time flies!
Would love to meet them all in September! 🥰

Entertaining, informative and definitely a compliment to your lovely wife!

Hi Sean, your wife is is an amazing lady and she is the compliment being compared to a leopard. Once a lady has a baby your whole being changes and it is alert to every single sound and movement your baby makes. Protection is high on the list and just trying to keep baby comfortable and warm keeps every mother up. Sleeping for a mom is necessary but as you say Sean, any sound from the child and Mom is up. Your story is amazing and absolutely spot on. She will go without sleep just to make sure her little one or one’s are okay.

Wonderful!
And being compared with a leopard is certainly a very big compliment.
Lovely photos.

A very delightful and insightful comparison of sleep styles, needs, cycles, etc! Once a parent, you can mostly throw solid predictable sleep out the window for evermore. And yes……I think that comparing oneself to a leopard is a compliment in every way!

Hilarious, and so interesting!
Sam, leopard mothers are cool. You’re in highly esteemed company.

Lovely…and completely true from the mother point of view…

Nice to see a photo from a sighting I had with you (Nhlanguleni plus cub)

That was a really great sighting. Hope you got some decent photos of it too.

Indeed. Thanks in part to you. Patrick and I were about to leave and needed you to move when she jumped up on the boulder with the cub. We would have missed it otherwise.
