Some of my favourite moments in life have been while out on a game drive, surrounded by the picturesque natural surroundings that Londolozi has to offer. I’ve been lucky enough to capture so many of these beautiful moments with nothing more than my iPhone. An iPhone camera on safari can capture some incredible scenes! The beauty of using an iPhone camera is the fact that it is always in my pocket, ready to pull out the second I see a magical moment begin to unfold.
For this blog, I decided to delve deep into my iPhone’s camera roll and showcase some of my favourite moments I’ve been able to capture while out on game drive.
Initially seen as a young male in 2016, this leopard only properly established territory on Londolozi in mid-2019
I hope you enjoyed this collection of iPhone images. While professional camera equipment can take spectacular shots, you certainly don’t need a fancy camera to capture beautiful memories on safari. Always remember to pack your iPhone camera on safari – you will be sure to capture some gems. Stunning photographs Megan. As we always say, you just cannot beat an African sunset. Love the sunrises too for their cool colours, but sunsets are mostly vibrant. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Babs. I couldn’t agree more – African sunsets are truly magical.
Megan you took such beautiful foto’s with your iphone. Those giraffe with sun setting is stunning, not to talk about the clouds and the different colours you captured. Beautiful the orange pink and blue colours, really spectacular Meagan.
Thank you so much, Valmai! I’m so glad you enjoyed the images.
Absolutely the IPhone takes great shots. I captured some beautiful ones form mine on our last trip too! I loved your giraffe pic and the sunset too !
Thank you, Kara! I’m so glad to hear you were also able to capture beautiful shots with your iPhone.
Sometimes the IPhone enables you to enjoy a scene without having to fiddle with camera settings.
Exactly, Vin, I love the convenience of an iPhone camera.
Thanks Megan! You are right – our iPhones do catch some of the most special moments! Your shots are wonderful especially the sunsets. Sometimes it’s quicker to pull out the phone – plus, the videos that we get now are just like a movie. Every year the iPhone cameras get better and better.
Thank you, Micheal & Terri! The advancements in iPhone cameras are incredible.
The scenery is really nice.
Thank you, Liuchang. The scenery is beautiful.
Ooh the giraffe with the sunset is truly fabulous!
Thank you, Lisa. It was a spectacular scene to watch!
Megan, great shots of the sunsets. It just goes to show that a professional camera is not always needed to capture a moment or a fantastic picture. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much, William. Exactly, sometimes all you need is your iPhone.
I thoroughly enjoyed your photos Megan, and I agree that sometimes taking along only an iPhone can be very rewarding. As it’s been stated many times, a wonderful image is not made by the camera, but by the person who imagines the composition and captures the story/mood. I’ve not been able to hold my cameras for over a year and used only my iPhone for a trip to Italy this past summer – it was freeing and magical. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you so much, Denise. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the photos.
Megan, a really nice blog but the pics are mind blowingly beautiful. I am a cloud watcher and some of the clouds in the pics are lovely. My favourite time of day – sunrise and sunset. Africa has the most incredible sunrises and sunsets. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Thank you, Leonie! Africa truly does have the most magical sunrises and sunsets.
Love the giraffe!
Thank you, Chelsea! that’s also one of my favourite shots.
Splendid photos, Megan. The sunsets and the golden light are just amazing.
Thank you very much, Christa!
