THANK YOU FOR SUCH A POSITIVE RESPONSE AND JOY TO BEING VACCINATED. I NURSED PASIENTS WITH POLIO WHOOPING COUGH, MEASLES TUBERCULOSIS AND OTHER DISEASES WHEN VACCINATIONS WERE THERE AND YET SOME DID NOT GET VACCINATED. CHEERS TO MEDICAL AND OTHER SCIENTISTS TO HELP HUMANS HAVE BETTER HEALTH. WELL DONE LONDOLOZI STAFF. BLESSINGS AND PEACE TO YOU ALL. ELME BREYTENBACH
I like to practice gratitude. It is something that doesn’t take much time to do, and – when done regularly – it has the ability to completely change my day. I find somewhere quiet, I put my phone on silent and I take out a notebook. And I sit and notice all the good in my life and make a note of everything – great and small – that I am grateful for that day. Recently, without giving it too much thought, the same thing has come up – science and modern medicine. While it may seem a strange thing to add to the gratitude list, I have never been more thankful that the incredible global scientific community of epidemiologists, infection disease specialists, doctors, researchers, and science communicators have come together to provide so many safe and effective vaccinations for Covid-19. Just yesterday I took a moment to feel the complete elation that both my parents were now considered fully vaccinated, while other members of my own family have begun to receive their first doses.
And today, I am equally elated to say that our very own Londolozi Family has begun the vaccination process too.
While South Africa has been a little behind the rest of the world when it comes to gaining access to the Covid-19 vaccinations, I am very pleased to announce that our staff has, as of yesterday, begun to visit vaccination sites nearby (one of the many that have been made available across the country as part of the national vaccination roll-out) to receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination. This gives me great joy – because it means that our Londolozi family will be protected!
There’s not much more to say on this right now. Except to say that it’s an evolving story and one that I tell proudly. It’s another step in the right direction as we begin to look towards a new future of travel. Where visiting a place like Londolozi is not only safe, but it allows for a vast and significant reunion with nature and a way to be a part of the positive ripple effect that every night spent at Londolozi creates.
After all is said and done, and your feet meet the African soil and the warm summer sunshine hits your face, there is nowhere else in the world that knows how to look after you like the Londolozi family does. Come to a place where we will personalize your sacred time, a place where the leopards of Londolozi roam abundantly, and a place where you can truly feel the difference in how a family-run business cares about your health and holiday time…
Come to the place where it all started.
Come home to Londolozi… we can’t wait to see you!
Thank you, Elme.
