This is the last official day of winter before spring takes over and presents us with a whole new way of looking at the bush. We cannot wait to see the changes and first sprouts of green as the landscape transforms over the next few months… But, before we move to spring, let’s take a look at some of our photographic highlights that showcase some of the thrilling action that’s taken place…
As you’ll see below we’ve had many big cat sightings as well as the pleasure of welcoming two new additions to the greater leopard family of Londolozi. Read James Tyrrell’s photographic journal of his favourite moments spent in the company of the Mashaba female and her cubs. Don Heyneke shared his wonderful experience of spending 14-days in the company of a National Geographic photographer. One of the sightings that they came across was of a honey badger included in our selection below – read about his incredible sighting of this fearless creature that lives amongst us, yet is rarely seen.
The wild dogs made their way onto Londolozi once again but never for very long… we even managed to enjoy a few sightings of their young pups, before they moved off.
We’ve had a great month and look forward to what awaits us in spring… We will hopefully have many more wonderful stories and sightings to share with you.
Enjoy our roundup of our 10 favourites.
