Imagine you are sitting in a hospital, far away from home, having just undergone major surgery. Imagine you are waiting at the airport for a connecting flight home that is endless in arriving. Imagine you are are stuck at your desk, lost in a sea of paperwork, unclear deadlines and stress. Imagine you leaving your loved ones behind as you journey into the great wide open to feel your own way
Recently a very good friend of Londolozi went in for such a major operation and it got us thinking about all those people who are far away from home dreaming of being someplace else right now. It is not always easy being alone, yet sometimes the smallest thing can make the most positive difference. So for all of you people, wherever you are and however you are feeling we dedicate this blog post to you.
The video below is also a teaser for an exciting new addition to our website, aptly titled: ‘The Leopards of Londolozi’. This section of the site will be live before the end of the year and promises to be an incredible resource to compliment the wealth of stories already on our blog. Featuring images, videos, information and an amazing 30 year lineage of leopards mapped out into a family tree, ‘The Leopards of Londolozi’ will paint a vivid picture of our unique relationship with this astonishing cat over the last three decades.
So take a moment, put your feet up, buckle yourself in and turn up the speakers LOUD before you watch this video starring none other than the Leopards of Londolozi. With a bit of luck it will transport you into another world and bring a smile to your lips and a flicker of excitement to your heart.
PS: David, this one is for you….

Wow! Beautiful sequence!
Chris
wow, that was awesome.!!!!!!!
WE ARE TRULY BLESSED TO LIVE IN A WORLD WITH SUCH MAJESTIC CREATURES!
Kerry I agree with you. Putting this sequence together was brilliant as I got to look at these beautiful cats for hours on end. It also made me think of the hours of footage I have captured whilst filming these amazing creatures, observing their rosettes, agility, behaviour and interactions with each other. They are truly magnificent animals and it is a real privilege to be able to honour them the way that we do at Londolozi. thanks for your thoughts.
Fantastic Rich! Am finding it difficult to get back to nomality after returning, now missing Londolozi even more after looking at this!
Sheila
I’m sure you are finding it difficult to get back to normality Sheila. Remember that nature is what has been normal for the last tens of thousands of years…
Hopefully this provided you with lots of inspiration to return and something to show your friends about the places you get to go to. Thanks for your comment
Jeepers, this going to be soooo good!!
Thank You Guys, that is awesome .. see you all soon.
Epic stuff Rich! This looks like it’s gonna be something special!

That music. Wow what a passionate sequence. Can’t wait for it to be fully up and running. You share your home with the most beautiful creature. For that, you should be eternally grateful.
Wish i could visit 🙂
That’s true Penny, the creatures that surround us here are incredibly beautiful. Thanks for you thoughts and comments, glad you enjoyed watching!
What a great idea. They are such majestic creatures and so great to see many of the Leopards over the generations. The blog is fantastic Rich, we have been unable to visit Londoz this year (the first time in 15 years) the blog has been a great way to keep up to date with everything going on, thanks again, missing it all so much, Sue
Sue, I am pleased that you are still able to get your fix of Londolozi despite not being able to visit this year. To me, this is the animal that truly represents Londolozi and its heritage. I hope that the blog continues to inspire you and makes you want to come back next year. Thanks for your comments, Rich

Rich
30+ hours of travel each way from Hawai’i to Londolozi…was it worth it…silly question. I’d do it tomorrow in a heartbeat. Have so many photos to cull and excellent videos held by ‘steady hand’ Fred…thanks to Tricia, Mike, Fred, Trevor, Dumi and everyone who made my return to Londolozi so spectacular. I don’t plan on letting another 25 years go by before I visit again. Mahalo nui loa.
Judy! Fantastic to here that your stay was so successful and that you captured alot of photos and video. I agree that 25 years is too long to let go by before you come again.
What leopards did you find with Mike and Freddy?
