400 Weeks.
That’s just under 8 years.
The Week in Pictures, which forms a window into the bush for thousands of people around the world, is far more than just a weekly photo gallery. It’s a representation of long hours in the field; perseverance, practice, and dedication to a craft.
I’m not just talking about photography, but guiding, tracking, an understanding of wildlife, story-telling… all the fundamentals of what makes the Londolozi experience so special.
If 13 rangers are taking 2 game drives a day each, that’s 182 game drives a week.
3.5 hours per game drive is 637 bush hours every 7 days.
Multiply that by 400 and you’re looking at roughly 250 000 hours of bush time that have gone into The Week in Pictures over the years. That’s not insignificant.
Here then, is our tribute to the guides and other contributors who have made this by-now iconic post so special to so many:

Loved every minute of it. Every time you release a video it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up in the best way. Everything about Londolozi is world class, and it shows. Somehow even after following along in some capacity for years, I always forget TWIP is on Friday, so when it shows up in my inbox I get a happy surprise. Keep up the amazing work!

All we can say is WOW! What a great video and totally amazing images & video footage. We know how much you all agonize over the 100’s TWIP. We wonder who had the most images in this one???? 😉
Haha Michael it was pretty random. I literally just went back through the last 100 weeks, picked all the standouts (there were over 450!!!) and then just slotted random ones in to the music. Probably three quarters of the 450 didn’t even make it. We’ll run another highlights post in the next week or two to try make up the difference…
From the first we went on a safari at Londolozi, I was stunned, impressed and astonished! Not only was I stunned by the animals we met, how in the world do they track and drive and on top of that find their way around. They are stars!! Victoria
