It would be so great to have these iBooks from Londolozi available through Nook books (Barnes and Noble) or Zinio reader or some other app. Or perhaps they will be available in hard cover?
Hi Judy, we would also love to develop the books across various other digital platforms, however we are limited by the software available for ebook production on these devices. As mentioned when we released our first range of books last year we will keep you updated and informed as we roll out to other devices.
Owing to the video and interactive elements we will not presently be publishing in hard cover.
I’m downloading this tonight when I get home. I had the privilege of visiting Londolozi in May and had Byron as my guide. He was so awesome in helping me with my camera settings (mind you, I don’t know anything about photography or light settings) that I came home with excellent shots. Can’t wait to come back and take even better shots! Please give my regards to Byron & Judas, miss everything about Londolozi!
Stephanie
Great to hear Stephanie, I hope you find it useful. Will definitely pass on your regards to Byron and Judas. Look forward to having you back with us. rich
My wife and I have been to Londolozi a few times. My wife reads the blog daily. So my comments come from a Londolozi fan…
I have purchased the book from Apple but I can not read it… Yes I have an IPad with more than the minimum OS and Book versions. I will eventually work it out or go to an IStore..
Like many others I prefer to read books on an non Apple product. Please look into OverDrive, software that allows users to download book in a non exclusive format from any library.
Most people I know use the Nook or the Kindle for their digital book reading.
Hi John, thanks for your comments. I have sent you a mail addressing your comments. rich
It is a must as soon as I get to my iPad.
Looking forward going over it thoroughly.
Thanks Rich!
Great pleasure Jo Lynne, I hope you enjoy it 🙂
I have communicated with Apple and there is no current way to get this book on Apple computers. It is available on iPad iPad or if one wants to read it on an iphone! Too Bad, book sounds neat. Who ever is marketing it should expand the horizons to include the larger markets including a hard cover.
Tom thanks for your thoughts and feedback. We look forward to expanding the product in the future, however for the time being it is only available on iPad. I hope you enjoy it.
Rich
Rich,
I have downloaded the book to my iPad and listened and read. You speak to my heart in your introduction.
I have much to learn as I study the book. You are an excellent teacher and have chosen your examples well. This is not the average “how to book,” but one that walks me closer to what I want to achieve.
This is coming from one who has spent the last 30 years training teachers.
Thank you for conceiving and executing this book and thank you to Londolozi for encouraging all of you to go farther in making the bush experience speak to all who visit.
Can’t get it for the NOOK….but I have a photography question.
Has anyone used the TAMRON 18-270 mm in lieu of a 70-300 mm lens….which is what I have used at Londolozi…..the TAMRON is almost one pound lighter and that seems like a good thing….unless the quality is not as good..I use an “old” Nikon d70. Any advice would be helpful. Arriving for Founders Camp on Nov.21…..104 days…but who’s counting?
This guide can be a great help for the people who wish to capture the nature and wildlife of Africa in a unique and enticing way. I will also follow the tips shared here to get some attractive captures for next time.
