We went back to the wild dog den.
Last week, three pups. This week a few more surprises were waiting at the entrance that we did not see coming.
There is also a giraffe calf in this episode that stopped me in my tracks. Probably twenty-four hours old when we found it, stumbling around in the last of the afternoon light. And some footage from 2019 I have never shared on this channel; old, poorly filmed, but showing something I have only witnessed once in ten years out here.
The river. The elephants. A large male leopard on a termite mound when I was looking for someone else entirely.
And an owl who looked at us like we were the ones who needed to explain ourselves.
