on Signs of a New Beginning: The Xinzele Female’s Suspected Litter

The 8-letter word to always remember in the wild – Patience! Xinzele has always been one of my favorites to spend time with and I was fortunate enough in 2023 to see her with her unnamed cub at that time, Thumbela, whilst feeding on a kill high up in a jackalberry tree. So do you think she has had and lost a litter between then and now? She’s deep in the northern part of the property and crosses over the border often making tracking her sometimes difficult, but now that she’s in the Koppies, it could be easier to keep up with her. Thanks for the update Keagan and I’ll be watching for Bryce’s post.

Hi Keagan, this is one of the most intriguing and exciting blog edition! The Xinzele female is a beauty of different lineage and the Hlambela male brings new genepool. Also the Tortoise Pan male assures that the last royal lineage doesn’t get lost…. after that, all fantastic leopards. The Tumbela female had hit me in a peculiar way. I’ve waited for news about her…. nothing! She appeared to have a fantastic personality. Do you have any news about her? Anyway, maybe we’ll be seeing other little Thumbelas! Hopefully! Thank you Keagan

Hi Keagan, that would be wonderful to see the new born cubs of the Xinzele female. Let’s hope we will soon see them. Having the Xinkhova having cubs as well is just as exciting to see them. Please keep us posted on the situation with the Xinzele female.
