As we embrace all the autumn magic here at Londolozi, we are so glad you can bring you along for the ride through our reels. From rare wildlife encounters to breathtaking landscapes, these past two months have delivered extraordinary scenes that showcase the magic of the African bush. Our collection of reels captures everything from the once-in-a-lifetime sighting of a leopard meeting a pangolin to the heartwarming debut of the Kambula Pride’s cubs.
Enjoy the highlights of our month, and we’d love to know which one is your favourite – let us know in the comments below!
1. A remarkable sighting of a leopard and pangolin
The Nkoveni Young Male leopard has come across a pangolin – one of the most elusive and well-protected creatures in the wild. As a natural predator, the leopard instinctively investigates, using his paws to try and unravel the tightly curled pangolin. However, pangolins have evolved to rely on their tough, overlapping scales as a defense mechanism, making them nearly impossible for predators to penetrate.
Encounters like this are seldom seen, as pangolins are nocturnal and highly secretive. While the leopard’s curiosity is evident, he will eventually lose interest and move on, as pangolins offer no real opportunity for a meal. An extraordinary moment in the bush!

5. Ever wondered what a safari is like?
A safari isn’t just something you see—it’s where all senses come alive. Listen to the dawn chorus of birds and evening calls of hyenas. Taste Amarula-coffee as the sun rises over the wilderness. Breathe in the earthy petrichor after rain and the herbal scent of wild sage. Feel the textures of ancient trees while elephants pass nearby. Witness sunrises that paint the sky and stars that illuminate the night…

6. A rare sighting at the causeway
A Cape Clawless Otter hunting fish in the shallows – a reminder of just how much life thrives in this special spot. The causeway is often teeming with activity, from birds fishing to crocodiles basking. Next time you’re passing through, take a moment to pause and observe – you never know what you might see!

8. The Nsuku Male leopard
We have recently been treated to increasing sightings of this impressive young male as it seems he has shifted closer toward the central parts of the property, just to the south of our camps. Now three years and a half years old, the Nsuku Male is blossoming into a formidable force. From a young age, we suspected that he would grow to become a decently sized male and these recent sightings have proved that he is rapidly growing in both size and stature.

11. Nature’s cleanup crew in action
Vultures may not steal the spotlight like big cats, but their role in the ecosystem is just as vital. A recent sighting at Londolozi saw a wake of vultures swoop in and claim a cheetah’s kill in mere minutes—showcasing their efficiency in keeping the bush clean.

13. What will you remember?
In a world that spins ever faster, Londolozi remains a sanctuary of stillness—where time seems to pool gently rather than flow too fast. Here, you’ll smell the nostalgic scent of thatch roofs, hear the gentle lilt of Shangaan language, witness leopards in their wild homes and get to know the way river sand moves beneath an elephant’s foot. You’ll sit beside the warmth of a fire that has burned since 1926, and if you get quiet enough, begin to hear your own heartbeat again.

15. Healing flows through every Londolozi experience
In this sacred space where life unfolds in its fullest expression, extraordinary wildlife encounters blend with moments of deep connection: sunrise yoga flows, hilarious fireside stories, and laughter shared with loved ones beneath African skies. Here, healing flows through every experience, from tracking leopards at dawn to finding stillness at dusk while sipping on a Gin & Tonic. This is where adventure meets soul, where wilderness works its quiet magic, and where every heart finds its way home.

Favorite is the Kambula cub
Incredible footage to have indeed!
It is hard to choose only one reel as they all represent such special exciting or calming moments, reminding us of the peace which Londolozi instills in us all. Just fabulous – thank you.
So many special clips but #1 for me. Such a rare sighting – maybe once in a lifetime – even for all the rangers and trackers at Londolozi who spend most of their working day in the bush – nevermind paying guests.
So true!
Jemma, what a cool idea to show all those reels! They were all great, but the one of the Nkoveni Young Male trying to get to a Pangolin is a classic!
An amazing thing to watch – glad you are enjoying this blog series.
Jemma, each reel is special and brings back so many of my own memories, but the one that resonates the most with me is #15. Each day brings forth so many moments of healing in ways that are subtle – from the birdsongs at sunrise all the way to the diamonds that fill the sky just after sunset. Every moment is to be savored, take nothing for granted and let all your senses guide you throughout your stay.
Jemma, I love all those reels. They all remind me of the wonderful safaris I have already enjoyed at Londolozi.
I especially love that tiny lion cub that is carefully observing its surrounding as if it wants to ask: What surprises will life bring me? I hope it will grow into a strong big lion/ess.
Sensational the one of the Pangolin and the leopard. The poor Pangolin must have felt very frightened indeed, scales or no scales, being turned round and round by an inquisitive young leopard.
Thanks Christina – I’m glad you enjoyed them. Those two videos seem to be the crowd favourite – both very rare and special sightings to witness.
Hi Jemma, this is a lovely way to showcase all the beautiful reels again in one email. My favwould be the Kambula cubs. All of them have special merit I am sure.
