The Londolozi New Year’s Eve party has become somewhat of an institution. What started as dinner and a glass or two of bubbles around the fire to see in the new year has now transformed into one of the most sought-after nights of the year at Londolozi. Choosing the theme for the upcoming year is always something that is hugely debated until we settle on something that has all the perfect elements to the now famous Londolozi bash – a trendy theme, something we can go to town on when it comes to dressing up, the perfect welcome cocktail and – above all else – a vibe that can carry us and our guests through from the year that was to the year that will be.
This year there was very little debate as we settled on producing the evening of Top Gun: Londolozi Division. Through planning, preparation, and execution, it is always one of our greatest privileges to host our guests on Varty Deck to see in the New Year. As always, it’s a time to not only enjoy some light-hearted festivities but to also reflect on what a wonderful and busy year it has been for all of us at Londolozi. We have our guests – new and returning – to thank for that!

The creativity and enthusiasm never fail! We look forward to our August visit and can hardly believe we first arrived 10 years ago! While the cast has changed significantly, the culture continues.

Looks like one of my old fraternity theme parties….and we spared no design expense or effort and spent months in the planning. Of course at 19 years old, you’re at you creative best….this one looks sensational. Thanks for sharing the event and pics. You guys do good work. We do our safaris in TZ but have to rethink that with all the info we have daily about Lon. Jim

Absolutely brilliant theme for the Londolozi New Year’s Eve bash. I especially loved the leopard “patch”, complete with his/her aviator glasses. It should be offered for sale in the shop – I would certainly buy a print, cards, etc. As I looked through your photos, it appears a great time was had by staff and guests alike! Cheers for a glorious 2023!!

What a lovely New Year’s theme Top Gun. The Londolozi team looked stunning in their sunglasses and the decor on the Varty Deck looked absolutely beautiful. Hope you all enjoyed your New Year’s evening 😊. Reading the emails from Londolozi and seeing these beautiful animals makes everyday so special. Then Fridays the TWIP is such a highlight. Sundays is the ultimate with the video’s, we are truly spoiled with these stunning animals living in their own environment. Thank you so much for the Blog and these special emails.
