That was a lovely Week in Video, thanks for my Sunday treat. I’ve only seen a zebra foal hoisted once before on the blog – I know leopards are the ultimate opportunists, but is this an unusual kill for them?

Amazing how this leopard hoisted the zebra kill up onto that tree.
About the Martial Eagle: I once saw an adult on a kill and he called in just the same way as your young eagle did while standing on his kill (an Egyptian goose) and feeding on it.

Loved the martial eagle footage. And video #6 which I had not seen was FABULOUS!

Hello! The young cheetah was an absolute treat… the little owl so cute and the giraffe bulls are such relaxed animals even when they fight they don’t seem serious to us. As always leopards are kings and queens

Golly James, I can’t believe the Mawelawela Male managed to get that zebra foal up that straight sided trunk, move it, almost lose it and move it again 😲!! So pleased he is feeling a little more comfy with the vehicles. Super week, super variety as always. Perhaps that Marshall eagle chick was crying wolf, so that some other would be threat would think he had nothing to eat and he would get to enjoy it all to himself 😁. Thanks James 💕

We so enjoyed this week’s virtual safari! Those pearl spotted owls are adorable. And leopards are my favorite, even if they can be a little tense around the vehicles. He will acclimate soon! Great job as always, James!

I thoroughly enjoyed the safari this week, especially the young giraffes sparring. It’s behavior that we don’t see that often. The entitled martial eagle juvenile was fun to watch as well. Looking forward to more good footage this week.

We were spoilt this Sunday with 3 exciting video’s. The Mawelawela leopard is so majestic and off course strong to be able to hoist a big zebra foal like that. It is a pity he does not respond well to the Land Rover’s watching him. Martial eagle to beautiful for words. Little owlet is so gorgeous and the juvenile martial eagle chirping while it has something to eat, just goes to show it wants more of something else. Wonderful video’s thanks James.

Ummm….James, maybe the martial eagle chick made that kill and was calling his parents to come to HIS dinner! 😁
