Surprises in store for every guest – first time or veteran bush junkie, three friends give us their take on Londolozi…
Most of you will remember Jolynne’s wonderful account of her first week of her two week stay at Londolozi, Christmas in May. Well, she decided to get some friends involved in blog writing and she led the charge of ‘Take Three’. Thank you again Jo Lynne!

Every evening hundreds of these caterpillars would make their way up a tree just outside Pioneer camp and be gone by morning. Helen managed to find us just one to take a picture of in the morning light. Can anyone guess what they are? – Jo Lynne

Without the brilliant insight of tracker and ranger, we would have never seen the dark maned Majingalani cross the river. We had followed him to a cliff directly across from camp, only to see him go off through the bush to find the female who was roaring from the south. Parked precariously on a bluff over the river, we sat for some time watching for him to pick a crossing site. – Jo Lynne
‘Six Guests coming to Pioneer Camp who eat WHAT! That’s right, a whole food, plant based diet. No meat, no dairy, no added oil, No Worries. Georgia, Petunia, and Busi got to work, and with the greatest of care prepared the greatest of fare. We applaud them all.’ – Lavonna Adams

The Londolozi team exceeds expectations, hearing about a vegetable she did not know, Jess contacts a farmer who drops off a bag of kale at an exchange point under a bridge between Hazy View and Londolozi. Now, that is going “beyond the kale.”

‘At home it’s treadmill, Pilates, and weight training – after awhile our exercise regimen becomes boring. Londolozi gave our routines a kick start with Bush Trail Runs. Everyday after breakfast we would head out with ranger Helen Young and Pioneer Camp manager Georgia Fane Hervey followed by the Land Rover. Along the way we perked up our runs with views of wildlife.’ – Cathy Thornhill

What a wonderful experience! I’ve been thru the blog 4 times. I was right there with you all. And Jo Lynne, the photos…amazing. The sneaky hippos and that adorable baby elephant and of course, the young cheetah, they were wonderful.
