The Watcheche Female has a new cub, hidden away in the southern parts of Londolozi. An exceptional spot by Tracker Mike Sithole led us straight to this golden leopard sitting high up in a Marula tree. Next to her was a half eaten Impala neatly hoisted. We sat admiring her beauty as she fed for over half an hour. During this time we noticed her swollen teats indicating that she was nursing. I was excited but did not want to tempt fate. Hearts started beating faster as she descended the tree and started calling. Mesmerized by what was unfolding in front of us, we sat in absolute silence. Suddenly a little head popped out through the grass and came bounding to mom… A new addition to the Leopards of Londolozi!
I am SO jealous!! We saw her on Friday morning last week and were hoping she would call her cub to no avail…
Adam!!! Thats incredible.. Well done Mike Sithole!!
Great to see enjoy, do you know where this female comes from or who she is related to?
Absolutely sensational. Leopard heaven there in Londo’z.
Looking forward to watching this space for more.
What a wonderful sighting and story!
Beautiful cub.
Oh, this is so precious!
🙁 tried to find the little cub for 2 days….
looks like I’ll have to come back 🙂
A darkness in the grass!
Having enjoyed the rare priviledge of sitting behind Adam and Mike when they spotted this little treasure, I can certainly endorse that it was a very special moment for all concerned! Now sat back in the UK but took a break to enjoy this moment once more from the usual stack of emails, xx Julia
Julia, it must have been quite a moment to be the first people to discover a brand new cub. Thanks for the comments and we look forward to putting up more clips and posts on this little cub in the future. Rich
