Harry was born in Johannesburg and grew up in Cape Town, but from an early age felt a deep pull towards the African bush. With family holidays travelling through Southern Africa, school bush trips and volunteering whenever he could, that fascination steadily grew into something more certain. He went on to study Economics at Stellenbosch University, while continuing to spend as much time as possible in wild places. After university, he completed his guiding qualification, confirming his desire to pursue a life in the field, and eventually leading him to his new home - Londolozi.
