The African Christmas Dinner Playlist
No dinner party is complete without the perfect soundtrack. We’ve curated a playlist that captures the soul of Africa. From the harmonies of the Londolozi Ladies Choir to the vibrant sounds of Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, this playlist is a journey through Africa’s rich musical heritage.
Let the music transport your guests from the warmth of a crackling fire to the lively streets of Cape Town. Follow our Spotify playlist here.
A Celebration of Connection
The heart of any festive dinner lies in the connections we create. Inspired by Africa’s storytelling tradition, we’re sharing conversation starters to spark joy, laughter, and reflection.
Here are a few to get you started:
- What are you most grateful for this year?
- If you could travel anywhere in Africa, where would you go and why?
- What’s a moment from this year that filled you with joy?
- What’s a family tradition you cherish?
Bring these questions to your table and turn your dinner into a celebration of stories and shared experiences.

Oh Jemma this is beautiful to see the table so beautifully decorated with the animal cards and placemats. Thanks for sharing it with us. The lanterns in the tree make it even more special bringing the African bush in play. May you and everyone at Londolozi have a special time this December.
Thank you Valmai – we hope you have a great Festive Season ahead 🎁
Thanks for the great tipps.
I love the recipe
Thank you Christina – let us know how you go with the cocktail 🍹
What wonderful suggestions for the holiday table. The placemat and place card templates are perfect and I really liked the Rhythms of Safari, although I’ve not been able to locate it in Spotify under Londolozi or as noted on the album photo.
Even though Londolozi is always festive at night, I’m sure it will be even more candlelit during the holidays. Cheers to everyone in the Londolozi family
