Here is our fourth instalment of our weekly video highlights package.
The weather didn’t always cooperate this week, with a number of drizzly days making for tough filming conditions, but the wildlife was unrelenting.
Wild dogs being chased by elephants, an entire hyena clan feasting on a hippo… if variety is the spice of life, this week was an exotic buffet of wildlife sightings.
Going forward we will try to post the highlights packages on our YouTube channel as they are released, instead of just a wrap up at week’s end. They can also be found on Facebook, as well as our Instagram feed; daily under our Stories and on our IG TV Channel.

never a dull moment in the bush. I always wonder why people come to a safari camp and just want to see lions or leopards. Tthey are certainly wonderful to see but there is so much to see and so fascinating to see the interactions between the predators and the prey, or just to see that family of East hogs running away all the babies running with tails up. Thanks for a fun blog which I am enjoying while a tornado watch is on here. Stay safe everyone. thank you Victoria

Hm those Leopards pictures… so identical. I only notice tiny differences. I’ve still got to deal with them.

Exciting! I’ve been loving these videos, mainly watching on IGTV. the hippo carcass/hyena episode was remarkable. We once watched dozen of crocs tear into a hippo carcass – the smell was the worst thing I’ve ever smelt! Your video brought it all back!
Thank you, thank you, James. This is a real highlight of the week for me and as I don’t look at Instagram etc it all adds to the surprise – feels like being on a real game drive, when you never know what’s going to happen! I loved the interaction between the wild dogs and elephants, and could watch leopards going up or down trees all day long (which leopard was that?) I also loved the glimpse of the sculptures just outside the camp as you returned, that really made me feel like I was back at Founders.
These videos take me to where my heart rests. Thank you for letting me be at Londolozi from 12 time zones away. Aloha.

Fascinating and completely mesmerizing. I’m so appreciative that the “chance” involved in the tracking process is captured. It elevates the watching experience to a “you are there feeling” rather than just watching a nature show. It’s more wholistic and integrated rather than dualistic and subject/object oriented. Not to mention how James’s humility is hilarious at times!!
