Hi Nick, actually, all your pictures are amazing. I think I’d pick up the chameleon, as I know barely anything about this small animal, and taking such an image of it in that position and colour seems very difficult, it is perfect and funny! The eyelashes of the Gjima male are so long… beautiful and it makes wondering about. I will never stop admiring long tuskers like that bull in black and white, they are not granted and always a good sight. Leopards are fantastic, maybe the Xinzele female has that typical look…. albeit you can’t choose a leopard, as they are all do special. To the Ngungwe female, have you ever known anything about the Thumbela female? She was such a character, I’d love to receiving news on her! Thank you Nic, what a magical magnificent summertime….

Thanks so much Francesca. Appreciate the comment and kind words. Thimbles female typically spends more time slightly west of Londolozi, so not frequently viewed but I’ll be sure to update you as and when we do get a glimpse of her.

Hi Nic, You and Advice were my guide and tracker when I was at Londolozi late November, early December. I remember a Bull Elephant walking down the road toward us. Is that the photo you posted? Also, love the Chameleon photo. So nice to see your blog and remembrances of safaris with you and Advice.

Hi Linda. Yes, that was the exact photo of the elephant – well remembered.
We hope to welcome you back on our vehicle soon, and hope you are keeping well. Lots of love from both of us.

While the big cat images are always my favorites, I LOVE the final photo in this collection! Flap necked chameleons are always interesting but to see one up high in all fours is new to me – and fascinating! Made me smile, for sure!

Thanks so much Mary-Beth. I’m glad you enjoyed the collection.

That hyena cub is a fave but the most perfect is the lion profile because as you said…what have those eyes seen?!

Fantastic photos, Nic. I love all of them.

Thank you Christa.

Hi Nic, your images of the 🐆 leopards are beautiful. My favorite male is the Shingy male and before him it was the Ntomi male. Glad to see the Ximungwe female as well and the Xinzele female. Lions are stunning as well.

Absolutely – I love the Shingi male too, but to be honest, we have been so fortunate to have fantastic sightings of many of the Leopards of Londolozi this summer season. What a treat!

What a fantastic compilation of your summer favorites Nic. Whilst I am a leopard fan, and your selections are amazing, I will give credit to the image of the wide-eyed hyena pup, a photo representing curiosity. Next I enjoy seeing different views of the Flap-neck Chameleon and yours does represent the leaf imitation pose. Finally I am a fan of detail shots and so I choose the profile of the Gijima male – well captured. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much Denise, really appreciate the kind words and so glad you enjoyed the pictures.

That chameleon shot is something else! Those little guys are beautiful.
What’s going on with the wild dog with the collar? Are you tracking them?

Thanks for your comment. We are not necessarily tracking them ourselves but given the incredible scarcity of wild dogs in the region and across the continent as a whole, much research is being done to better understand their behaviour and movement in hope that we can continue to conserve the species.

Great pictures, Nic! There are all great, but my favorite is the sunset picture with the vultures. It captures the essence of Africa. The sky is incredible, especially in that light! 💜

Thank you Alina, I love that photo too!
