In this blog, I’ve gathered some of our favourite Instagram Reels from the past two months, featuring everything from spectacular wildlife sightings to beautiful scenes around camp.

2. The Secret Purpose Behind an Elephant’s Hair
This beautiful sunset clip captures a mother elephant and her calf feeding in the golden light. Look closely at the little one, and you can see every fine strand of hair illuminated by the sun. Though sparse, these hairs help elephants stay cool by breaking up airflow across the skin, creating an effective natural cooling system in the African heat.

3. A Precious Wild Dog Encounter
Out from the thickets trotted a pack of wild dogs and their pups, right in front of Ranger Chris Taylor’s vehicle. African wild dogs are among the continent’s most endangered predators, and fewer than half of their pups survive to adulthood, facing threats from larger predators, disease, and natural causes.

15. The Spirit of Londolozi in Art
This reel captures the entire making process of the limited-edition Londolozi Nature Reunion Scarf.
The scarf was born from Makomsava, the forest we call Mother Earth, a natural cathedral where guests come to reconnect, breathe, marry, grieve, and remember.
Hand-painted by artist Genna Shrosbree of Beagle + Basset, who grew up in this wilderness, each brushstroke captures the soul of the landscape. Every symbol tells a story:
-
The Leopard – moving between worlds with instinct and grace, the shaman of the sacred forest and the heart of the Londolozi story
-
The Leopard Orchid – blooming with resilience, thriving by leaning into the wisdom of trees, beauty born from adaptation
-
The Bateleur Eagle – holding vision and balance, the tightrope walker of the sky, our ancient guide
This is more than a scarf. It is a tactile memory and a wearable piece of the wild. For those who have walked beneath the twisting branches of Makomsava, it carries the spirit of this sacred forest wherever you go.
The Londolozi Nature Reunion Scarf. Crafted with intention. Offered with love. Exclusively available in our boutique.

Hi Megan, all of the reels are beautiful. For me the one that stands out most is the mother leopard 🐆 and two 🐆 🐆 leopard cubs climbing up a tree. So very precious and necessary for the cubs to be up high and away from danger.
wonderful videos
Hi Megan, no doubt the leopard cubs won my heart at the first moment! The Ndzanzeni female is a great Leopard, she’s a queen and has her temper! Very right! And she’s absolutely exquisite, smaller and has a rare beauty. I always rejoice at her sight, whatever she does, which is often surprising. The Gijma male is gorgeous and also the Breakaway male. The honey badger and the pangolin are secretive creatures so funny in their activities and a pleasure to see.
Megan, all of your links were just unbelievable, but I think the one that we are most excited about is your elevation with the Michelin guide. That is absolutely incredible and the entire team should be so proud! Bravo!!!
