on The Rise of the Nkuhuma Breakaways and What Lies Ahead?

Hi, all pictures are a real treat to add to an eventful wip… the first one of the Breakaway male is a poem of colours that enhances his uncertain position and experience. The following picture shows his physical power and his uncertainty, where he crosses an partially hides his front paws and keeps his tail aligned. Surely he would do a perfect match with the Styx male! His sister is another Tsalala lioness… alone and lacking the pride experience. Like the Tsalala female, she is gifted with strength and determination, hopefully all this perfectly-provided creatures will be able, by carefully balance power and intelligence, to build an own pride for themselves… the last picture is moving

Hi Francesca, I am so glad that you enjoyed this update on these promising young lions.

A lot of fluctuation between and among prides; the future of these youngsters is uncertain, hopefully they will make it and find partners or form coalitions and prides of their own. The lion dynamics at Londolozi ar really extremely interesting

Indeed they are, Christa. Stay tuned for more updates as we eagerly await the future course of Londolozi’s lion dynamics.

I hope those two boys connect! Makes me nervous when they are solo! The Styx male is so handsome!

I really hope so too, Anita. They would make quite the promising duo!

Thanks for the updates. Would be great if one of these beautiful males would hook up with the Tsalala female. Start a new dynasty.

Hi Jos, that would be perfect in an ideal world. We are all holding thumbs for the rebirth of the Tsalala Pride.

I might be wrong but I think I think that these two were born in January 2022, that’d make the young male only 3,5yo, yet he already looks impressive. He lost lots of mane after his mother died, I think if the mother was still alive, he’d have a full mane by now.

These two have great genetics, being sons of the PCM and grandsons of the Mantimahle and Matimba.

Yes they were born then. With Matimba bloodlines through Ridge Nose, he should be pretty large male and she may be as large as her mother was.

They have done well for themselves considering their mothers were killed while they were still so young. There are many parallels to the Tsalala female, and while not ideal, she’s proof that a lone lioness can thrive. I do hope the male partners with the Styx male to increase their odds of survival.

You are absolutely right, Chelsea. These animals are incredibly resilient.

Hi Reece, the Nkuhuma Breakaways duo are two special lionsin there own right. With them coming in to sexual maturity they will have to split and each one must find other lions to mate with. I wish the Styx male will team up with Nkuhuma Breakaway lion and who knows which male lion is going to mate with the female Nkuhuma Breakaway. But I do sense a huge shift coming in the lion dynamics and I am actually excited and scared at the same time, for there will be fights among them.

Hi Valmai, you are absolutely right. Only time will tell as to what will unfold in the coming months.

And so the lion dynamics continue to remain in flux with unlikely duos spending time in the Ndhzengas’ territory. The next several weeks should be interesting…..

Hi Denise. We are all eagerly waiting to see what will transpire. It is so captivating and thrilling.

Fascinating situation here as they will both eventually need to find partners and go their own way. They need each other now for food, protection and comfort but their lives will change soon. Hopefully he pairs up with the Styx male who would be a great mate for her. Can’t wait to see what happens here.

Hi Mike, I am so glad you enjoyed this update. Only time will tell I guess… Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks and months.

Thank you for the article on the Nkuhuma Breakaway duo. I know it isn’t common but couldn’t they decide to stay together without her leaving to find a mate? I have followed these two since they were born to the Nkuhuma Ridge Nose female and the Plains Camp males. The PCMs are rather large males and so was their mother Ridge Nose.
