on Mating Leopards: The Piccadilly Female and Maxims Male

The Piccadilly female is a beauty, her spots and rosettes beside her traits make her recognisable as a relative of another lovely female, the Three Rivers female. The Maxim male has a rather softer look in comparison to other dominant males, like the Flat Rock male. Maybe it is his timid attitude. At her age, the Piccadilly female should be an expert in strategically moving around her and her mates’ territories, it is so exciting to have a possible litter of cubs! Related to the Three Rivers female and her just adorable little female! Waiting for news… thank you, wonderful images

It is always interesting to follow the leopards of Londolozi, thanks Ross, for keeping me up to date.

Thanks for this update on the movements of Piccadilly female. I have spent time with her and am happy to hear she is mating once again, although I didn’t think her sub adult male had become totally independent. It is yet another female mating with Maxims recently and so time will tell whether both of these females will end up with cubs in 90 days. Hopefully great news for the leopard population of SabiSand.

Thanks for this update on the Piccadilly Female’s love affairs. I hope that there will soon be some cute cubs.
Beautiful photos of this beautiful female.

We missed seeing her this time too, Ross. A mating with Maxim’s would have been awesome to see!

Hi Ross, glad you saw the Piccadilly female but were unlucky to see her mating with the Maxim’s male. Well she is a clever girl to mate with two leopards and letting them both think they are the father. Let’s hope that we will soon see new baby cubs. How long is a leopards gestation time?
