While Londolozi is renowned for its safari experience, there is much more to explore and enjoy beyond the game drives. From indulging in one-of-a-kind wellness experiences to awakening your senses on a guided walk out in the wilderness, here is a list of unique activities that you can experience during your stay with us.
1. A Guided Bush Walk
You’ll be able to connect with the Londolozi wilderness on a much deeper level by taking a guided bush walk. Being on foot is a magical way to awaken your senses and immerse yourself in the surrounding environment. It also allows you to notice the smaller details that could easily be overlooked while in a moving vehicle. Guided by your trained ranger and tracker, who have unmatched knowledge of the terrain, flora, and wildlife on the reserve, you’ll be sure to gain a newfound appreciation for the bush.
2. Morning Coffee in the Wilderness
There’s truly nothing quite like starting your day surrounded by the sights, smells, and sounds of nature. As you sip your morning coffee, you’ll be met by fresh, crisp air and serenaded by the soothing symphony of bird calls. The aroma of coffee mixed with the earthy scent of the surrounding wilderness is simply magical and will be sure to elevate your morning coffee experience.
3. Make the most of your Camp Deck
Londolozi’s five different camps each offer a unique and distinctive Camp Deck, reflecting their individual histories, designs, and ambiences. While you can enjoy a refreshing drink from your mini-bar in your suite, don’t forget to make the most of your Camp Deck. Each Camp Deck has an open-air bar with spectacular views of the Sand River, as well as other cosy nooks to have a cup of coffee and read a book.
4. Dine Under the Stars
Londolozi’s outdoor dinners offer a one-of-a-kind experience that immerses you in the natural world. Whether you’re seated in one of our famous bomas, poolside, or on your own private deck, you’ll be surrounded by a magical setting of golden lanterns and candles that provides atmospheric lighting for your dinner under the stars.
One of my favourite aspects of dining outdoors is the soundtrack that accompanies it. You’ll hear the loud crackles of the fire, creating a warm and cosy ambience. The gentle chirps of crickets, cicadas, and other insects provide a soothing background melody that adds to the natural ambiance of the experience. In the distance, you may hear the deep, unmistakable roars of lions, adding an element of excitement and a reminder of the wildness that surrounds you. Dining under the African night sky is truly an unforgettable experience that will be sure to engage all of your senses.
5. Open-air yoga
Londolozi offers open-air yoga classes in a beautiful natural setting, providing a unique and serene experience for guests. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to the practise, our classes are designed to accommodate all levels and abilities, providing an opportunity to deepen your practise in a truly unique and inspiring environment. From the gentle rustle of the leaves to the distant calls of the wild, the sounds of nature will deepen your connection to the earth, leaving you feeling grounded and rejuvenated. Join us for a yoga experience that nourishes your mind, body, and soul and allows you to connect with the beauty and tranquillity of the African bush.
8. Experience an Outdoor Bath
The ultimate recipe for relaxation and indulgence is a bubble bath, a glass of champagne, and the beauty of nature. The Private Granite Suites offer a unique and luxurious experience with their outdoor bathtubs. The bathtubs are strategically placed to provide guests with a stunning view of the surrounding nature while enjoying a relaxing bubble bath. This experience is designed to immerse guests in the beauty of their natural surroundings, providing a tranquil and rejuvenating retreat.
7. A Treatment at the Londolozi Healing House

Megan, Thanks for all the great reminders! We will do our best to experience as many of your suggestions on our next visit!
That is wonderful to hear, Micheal and Terri!
Yup, I believe a bush walk is on the agenda for our August visit.
We look forward to your visit in August, Willa!
All of the activities you listed in your blog are wonderful and part of the Londolozi Effect, but my favorite activity this past trip from which I just returned home, was meeting with David, the gardener who supplies a plethora of fresh produce to Londolozi and others, and a recipient of funds to further his business’s growth through the Ripple Effect program. A huge thank you to Jess for taking the time to introduce me to David as well as visit the local GWF learning center in Lilydale.
Hi Denise, it is wonderful to hear that you were able to meet David and visit the GWF learning center during your stay. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to meet you while you were here, but it sounds like you had a wonderful time. I look forward to meeting you on your next visit!
