We’re well into April already, but that’s no reason why we shouldn’t look back once more and select a few highlights from March. Ardent followers of the blog would have noticed the subtle shift in ambient colours from browns to predominantly greens in the photographs over the course of the last month, and that background feel should hopefully remain until at least May.
Enjoy the selection:

A beautiful moment frozen in time. One of the Tsalala cubs is ferried by its mother back to the den site after it had strayed a bit too far. Photograph by Trevor McCall-Peat

Varty Camp Manager Rob Crankshaw blew everyone away with his photography post on the little creatures found around camp. This macro-photo of a dragonfly was particularly impressive.

One incredible moment brilliantly captured by ranger Sean Cresswell. The Nkoveni and Tamboti Young females engaged in a territorial fight, falling from the boughs of a marula tree.

Another emotionally evocative photo of one of the Tsalala cubs when they were still tiny. Don Heyneke has captured a uniquely intimate moment here.

Stunning images this month. Incredible sightings.
What a marvelous collection of photos. Needless to say the mother carrying the baby will be everyone’s favorite. Keep track of them until we arrive in June!
