The best part of a few days of rain is when the sun finally breaks through and the animals emerge to soak up the warmth. Although a little untimely for April, the post-rain lighting allows for some incredible photographic opportunities. We have had some fantastic elephant herds gathering together as well as giraffe interactions. The Tsalala and Mhangeni lion prides have really been performing for us by lying out on large granite rocks and lounging around in trees. We even had a little genet visit a drinks stop which shows one should always have your camera at hand!
I hope you enjoy this Week in Pictures…

Well done Andrea. I enjoyed the shot of the young elephant flapping his ears, it is an unusual photo.
Another perfect week. Andrea, you have an artist’s eye. Beautiful rhino–my favorite animal!
Andrea, if you are new, WELCOME & thank you for these beautiful pictures! As usual you all post the most amazing pics that its very difficult to choose a specific #1, so they are all my number 1 🙂 <3
Thanks Wendy. I am one of the new rangers here and am loving it!
THis is really a lovely collection!!! Congratulations Andrea
Another week of fabulous pictures! Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic photos, thanks so much. Just love the genet, but I can’t choose a favourite as they are all so special and so very well photographed.
I am so glad you enjoy the Genet shot. It is the first time I have had the privilege of being able to photograph a kitten.
I have a nice moments with photos! What a beauty!!!!
Great photographs Andrea, love the giraffes in black and white. Did the Tsalala pride interact with them at all?
Unfortunately not. The giraffe were very sceptical of the Tsalala pride who were full-bellied and very uninterested in the gathering giraffe herd.
How sweet !
