Three generations – from “grandpa” Bob all the way down to junior school student, Kadin – of the Harris family drove out to Hazyview Digital Learning Centre from Londolozi late last week.
Accompanied by “Gogo” Mo (who is the Good Work Foundation Coordinator at Londolozi), Ranger Don, and Emma from Londolozi’s Cub’s Den, the family from California were all keen to view the Good Work Foundation model learning centre and understand the vision for digital learning in rural South Africa.
Kadin joined the class of Grade 4 learners in the Open Learning Academy and – together with Emma – taught our students how to make bracelets from elastic bands.
Ranger Don and Kadin then upped the pace and got everyone – including the kids from Hosanna Church – involved in a game of soccer.
From the entire team at Good Work Foundation, thanks for being part of our vision Harris family! Your time, your words of support, and your thoughtful gifts are all appreciated more than you know.
More than anything, we love for our students to be able to interact with people from all over the world.
Special “shout outs” for Kadin from students, Sbusiso and Siyabonga.
