Every now and then I get the sudden urge to relive what has been lived. To look back and to remember the times that have come and gone, and the memories that have been experienced and shared. To put myself back in the same place I was weeks, months or years before, and to feel those feelings and emotions I did once long ago. This gives me the feeling that life is about living and loving, its about taking each step forward, and learning. Growing and maturing, and striving to be greater. Deep, I know, but this is an avenue I explore for inspiration and this is what has become of this exploration today.
Photography is an incredible tool for communication, for art and for expression. It is also means in which one can relive ones past. To capture a perfect image and to look back at it and remember the time, the smell, the light and the sounds. It is what each guest that travels to Londolozi is inspired by and is in search of. The ability to capture magical moments, in your mind and then in your camera. Take them home with you and relive these moments, alone or with loved ones. If you have visited us, this feeling you will know. If you have not, and are planning to, this feeling you will soon feel.
I spent some time looking through my folders of images trying to draw from the past, to get a sense of where I have come from and where I want to be, where I’m going and how I plan to get there, and a bunch of images from a sighting kept me from moving on for ages. For this reason I wish to share these with you all. A collection of pictures from one sighting of a young female Leopard, the Ximpalapala young female, from early this year. It was a sighting I will never forget and the fact that I have the photographs makes it that much better. I hope you enjoy them.

Mike, we identify completely with your sentiments about “the urge to relive what has been lived” and putting ourselves back in “the same place we were just weeks or months before.” After our visit in September this year, we cannot wait another year to return. Dick and I are coming back for the last three days of 2013. WE CAN’T WAIT to experience the green season and be part of Londolozi once again. Your photography is awesome!!!!!!
Mike that was unbelievable! Thank you for your “ridiculously excellent pictures” I can only hope that we don’t have to wait too long before you want to “relive” some more?
Thanks a ton
