Always nice to hear of one of our older leopards. She is amazing that is for sure.. Do you know how many cubs she has raised to majority? I hope she stays healthy and wise for at least a few more years. Thank you for sharing

Hi MJ. I am actually not sure how many cubs she has raised to maturity. She is a leopard we see infrequently and as such we haven’t recorded that sort of data on her but I will try to find out for you and get back to you. Many thanks, Amy

Is this Leopard known as Kikilesi at Mala Mala? She is an amazing mother and absolutely gorgeous! An inspiration to us all, pure beauty, strength and wisdom combined. We loved being with her in 2014.

Hi Laura. Yes you’re right. The leopard we call the Xidulu female is referred to as Kikilezi at Mala Mala. And I totally agree with you, she is an incredible animal. Many thanks, Amy

HI AMY,
THANKS FOR THE BLOG AND THE PHOTOGRAPHS.
I SAW HER RECENTLY AT MALA MALA WHERE SHE IS KNOWN AS KIKELZI AS YOU ARE AWARE.
SHE IS REMARKABLE AS SHE IS STILL RAISING CUBS AT HER AGE.
I HOPE THAT THEY ARE BOTH STILL ALIVE!
KEEP WELL, AND AGAIN THANKS.
KIND REGARDS,
TED.

Hi Ted. We hope so too although it’s proving to be especially hard at this time! I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we get more news on her. Best regards, Amy

She’s very beautiful and I hope has many more good years yet. I’m also hoping that both her cubs are alive. Great write up Amy and beautiful images! Please keep us updated.
