The Scrub hare gets its name from the fairly obvious fact that their preferred habitat is in scrubs, grasslands and savannah. They are usually nocturnal animals but are also seen from time to time on an overcast day. Yesterday morning was a particularly cool and overcast morning. Back at the lodge I got a radio call saying that there seemed to be an abundance of these hare’s and they all seemed to be heading in the same direction. I decided to head out and see what I could find…
This one happened to be pointing into a fairly thick area but I decided that I should follow along the game path and this is what I came across…
The Easter bush breakfast is traditionally the beginning of the Londolozi winter calendar. Yesterday morning was no different and with the perfect weather, great venue, wonderful guests and a lot of chocolate we welcomed in the new season with a bang! Jess Watt, bush banqueting queen, and Anna Ridgewell, executive chef, put on the most incredible show to celebrate Easter.
The camp managers and butlers donned their bunny ears and were involved in all the festivities.
Cinzia, as usual, made sure the kids were entertained and they were led to a secret hiding place only to find…
As you can see we all had a marvelous day and we hope you did too!
Happy Easter from the Londolozi Family!!
