Brilliant. Well put together and quite informative.

Fantastic information and footage, thank you – my vote goes for the 5:5 male – be good to have a descendant of the famous Mother Leopard and much loved 3:4 Leopard back in charge! They are all special, although Emsagwen is not my favourite! Thanks so much Rich.

Great video Rich.
It certainly does look like Camp Pan’s reign is coming to an end, if not over entirely, as he has recently suffered at the hands of 5:5, and the Marthy male has been seen south of the river more and more.
Dave Dampier (ranger) has just walked into the ranger’s room as I’m typing this and informed me that he has just seen Camp Pan, 5:5, the Marthly male and Vomba, all within 50m of each other, with Camp Pan and 5:5 interacting agressively, Vomba female trying to mate with them, and the Marthly male watching from a termite mound nearby. Incredible!

Could you make a video about the females too?

Hi Johanna, I definitely can, watch this space in the next few weeks for a rundown of what is happening with the female leopards here.

The hefty Emsegwen must be the new kid on the block. Anyway bloodshed is a must and Campmale may be in his twilight years. This is fantastic.

Glad you enjoyed it Patroz, blood was shed yesterday between the Camp Pan Male and the Dudley 5:5 Male, whilst the Marthly Male looked on and the Vomba Female stood by at the centre of it all. The drama is truly reaching a climax. Video and full story to follow on the blog early next week.

Personally i think that, for the future, Dudley Riverbank male needs to grow 10 kilograms in size and a couple of years of experience for advance claim on territory to Cam Pan male leopard and Marhtly male.
Emsagwen has just the size and experience to win against Cam pan or Tyson

One would think so Alessio, however Camp Pan is also getting older and thus starting to lose much of his former strength. Although slightly smaller (and I agree about growing 10 kg) he is starting to reach full maturity and thus his aggression and strength levels are all on the way up. Camp Pan may just be involved in a battle he can’t ultimately win. Thanks for your comments,
Rich

Thank you Rich,
i have understimated the factor of the age.

That’s really cool, just a little glimpse into the awesomeness of leopards.

One more thing to note, while majority of other areas the big cats are declining, in Londolozi they are so abudant that several of them fight each other for the cramped space. The case above shows it all, africa at its wildest form!
