Many of you will recall the Movember blog post we ran a few months ago. Celebrating the month of the Mustache, many members of the Londolozi family grew their Mustaches to raise money for the rural schools in which the Good Work Foundation operates, with some impressive and hilarious results. When we asked for donations from our loyal followers, the response was unbelievable and over R 25 000 was subsequently raised.
Move forward into 2012 and the Good Work Foundation has reinvested this funding into the Madlala High School and the smaller pre-schools in the surrounding areas of Londolozi. These centers of African Excellence have received this much needed funding for the education projects they are currently running and our sincere thanks goes to all who contributed. The children of these schools wanted to take the opportunity to thank you as well and as such donned Mustaches of their own! Nice one guys!
The Good Work Foundation’s mission continues and although the Movember Fundraising effort was so successful, there are always new projects to initiate and people to develop. As I am sure you are aware, the gwf is currently running the gwf Raffle for individuals who wish to play their part in helping the foundation develop rural education in South Africa.
For $20 you can buy your raffle ticket and be entered into the draw to win, not two, but now THREE nights at Londolozi. For more details, see the poster below and if you haven’t already entered, be sure to ENTER NOW. The results of your generous contributions to the Good Work Foundation projects speak for themselves and the appreciation can only truly be summed up by the images above.
