There are countless birds that sport beautiful and fancy feathers, because of this; I have only selected a few of my personal favourites. These birds add a splash of bright colour to the bush and are easy to recognise from their striking feathers.
The brilliant hues and glossy tones create a showy spectacle and even if you are not passionate about birds, you can’t help but be amazed at the design of these smaller birds that light up their surroundings with their flashy feathers.

The beautiful Lilac-Breasted Roller is one of my favourites…such an incredible array of colours on this little bird! Fantastic photograph of the Paradise Flycatcher Kate! Every one of these images are really great.

The lilac breasted roller has the most amazing colors. I love the shot of the scarlet chested sunbird with the aloe flowers. The white fronted bee eater looks really happy to be catching some dinner. All are beautiful.

They are all more beautiful than rare jewels but the glossy starling is a favorite of mine…So fascinating to watch as the iridescence flashes.
