The Bervoets family first visited Londolozi in August 2010, since then they have made regular trips. Their most impressive sighting in 2010 was of hippo hovering above and licking on a buffalo carcass. To top this off the hippo was surrounded by 10 hungry lions, all waiting in the wings to get a piece of the buffalo!
The next trip was in April 2012 where Bruno and his family booked a private Land Rover to focus on photography. This was followed by a trip in September 2013 where he managed to capture amazing images of young lions as seen in the photographs below.
More recently Bruno and his family visited again, in August – click here to read about the highlights of this trip.
We look forward to welcoming the family on their 5th trip this year and cannot wait to see the results of Bruno’s photographic safari! Below are a few of Bruno’s favourite images taken over the years…

Bruno GREAT shots! Our next planned visit to LOZ is not until 2016 but I am thinking we may need to accelerate our plan and get in your landy, as the animals clearly come out of the bush to greet you and i love being on safari with LOZ veterans!! 😉 again great shots!
Thanks Bruno, these are really beautiful images & look forward to the next episode 🙂
Stirring photos. Seemingly you reached your subjects to pose just for you.
‘Beastly Beauty’ and ‘Hide n Seek’ are outstanding pics. Any photographer’s dream shots 🙂
Amazing!
I have thought some of my Londolozi shots were ‘great’….they pale in comparison to these. Will have to try harder in November.
Wow! Stunning photographs Bruno – thank you for sharing them. We cannot wait to get back to Londolozi next weekend.
