At Londolozi, we pride ourselves in the sightings that we come across each day, from a small mongoose crossing the road to an eagle soaring above – there is never-ending list of wonders to be seen.

Mostly the excitement stems from the randomness of not knowing what you’ll see next. Each game drive offers something new. There are however those times when we are the fortunate ones who come across something of the exceptional, a rare animal sighting, strange behaviour, two animals fighting one another, or an animal on the hunt. These sightings don’t come around every day but when they do they create a great fever of non-stop talk between guests and rangers.

The best part of these rare moments is that most often than not, there will be someone documenting the scene that plays out. Instead of actors, the animals are the star performers!

For us as readers, film plays an important role in capturing these incredible moments that allow us to feel as if we are in the bush, right there amongst the action. Over the years, the Londolozi Creative Team have collected and put together film clips that showcase some of the sightings that, had they not been captured on video, we would hardly believe were true.
