This week was like any other summer week here on Londolozi. The birds are calling, the spiders are building, the days are warm and humid, and the rain is still present. There was much Lion activity around the camp with the Tsalala Pride offering great viewing with their, now almost 7 month old cubs. Hunting by day and night. Leopards have as usual been prolific and around every corner there was a surprise. There is speculation as to where the Mashaba female is denning her new litter and has been seen with fresh suckle marks. So keep an eye out for that in the follow weeks to come. All in all, we were spoilt once again. Here is a brief look at some of the photographic highlights of the week.

Love the photos! It is amazingly hard to pick a favorite.. But my love of the big cats, especially
leopards usually wins out. Is the Mhangeni Male also know as Sandriver Male? I believe there are a couple of leopards in the Sabi Sands with the opaque eye. What I find curious is that all the pictures I have seen of leopards with an opaque eye, all have been the right eye. But I have only seen 3 so that doesn’t constitute a pattern really.. The first leopard I saw with the opaque eye was Safari..I think she was the daughter/granddaughter of the Mother Leopard. I miss some of the old timers who have now left, but they sure have left a wonderful legacy. Thank you for sharing you little piece of Paradise!
