One hundred years of Londolozi has taught us a lot about the ceremony of celebration. It needs to be felt. And this Easter, it was – the moment you stepped off the game drive vehicle and onto the Varty Camp lawn, something shifted.
The quiet of the bush gave way to colour, to warmth, to the smell of delicious food drifting beneath the jackalberry trees. To the particular joy of a morning that asks nothing of you except to be present in it.
Our much-loved Easter Market Brunch returned once again beneath the trees, dressed in soft whites and vivid blooms of orange and pink that seemed to echo the autumn season itself. Thoughtfully placed floral arrangements added bursts of colour, but more than the decor, it was the feeling of the morning that stayed with us. Unhurried. Warm. Alive.
Guests wandered between beautifully curated market stalls, tasting and discovering along the way – homemade crêpes with endless fillings, miniature waffles served in neat golden stacks, fresh jaffles from the Woodfire Jaffle Warren (from classic bacon, egg, and cheese to pulled pork with smoked cheddar and caramelised onions), fruit platters that brought a bright, fresh touch to the spread, and the cheerful chaos of the Sunny Bunny’s Breakfast Spot, where Joyful, Nomsa, and Preicy welcomed every guest with warmth and a table full of treats.
The Tipsy Burrow bar quickly became a favourite corner of the morning, where dapper barmen poured Aperol Spritz, Hugo Spritz, and Corona Sunrise cocktails beneath a display of citrus, florals, and rose gold rabbits.
It felt less like an event and more like a gathering.
This year, the Easter celebration carried an extra layer of meaning. 2026 marks 100 years of Londolozi, and our centenary sign – wreathed in flower baskets – stood at the heart of it all as a quiet reminder of everything this place has held over a century: the seasons, the stories, the people who have passed through and been changed by it. Easter has always been a moment of renewal, and this year, that felt particularly true.
Families, friends, and travellers from every corner of the world came together on that lawn. That is what makes the Londolozi Easter Market so enduringly special. It is never quite the same twice. It is shaped entirely by the people who are there – in that light, on that morning, in that moment – and then it is gone, leaving only the warmth of the memory behind.
That is the beauty of it.

From our Londolozi family to yours – we hope your Easter was filled with colour, with warmth, and the kind of joy that stays with you long after the day is done. Here’s to a hundred years of moments and special memories, just like this one.
