Hi, Barn Swallows and White Storks are leaving us to come to you! The sky is incredibly full of life, with so many birds crossing it, and the spectacular flights of starlings waving across the blue. At night they stop on tightly- leaved trees, like cypresses, to start again the following day. Your pictures are so beautiful, gorgeous birds!

Thanks, Bryce, for this beautiful blog on birds. I love “collecting” birds. i.e. taking photos of them, ticking them off my bird lists a.s.o. And I also look forward to the migratory ones that arrive every spring here at my home in Switzerland from Africa, after such a tremendously dangerous and strenuous flight of thousands of miles.
Thanks for the beautiful photos of some special birds.

Hi Bryce, I have heard the “Piet my vrou” here by us on the reserve at Kranspoort. We are also waiting to see and hear the Woodlands Kingfisher that breed nearby us last year. I have also only seen 3 swallows this week, so we are waiting g for these beautiful birds to return. It is very dry and hot here and have only received 32mm of rain this season. Thanks for your blog and beautiful photos.

Thank you, Bryce. Love my birdies. But I have never encountered a Steppe eagle. Intriguing, colorful fellow.

Bryce, birds are one of my favorite species. They are so diverse in the lives. My favorite picture today is the steppe eagle. Their journey through life is extraordinary.

Beautiful and interesting post on the latest bird migration at Londolozi Bryce! Thank you.
