Today we celebrate World Ranger Day, 24 hours each year in which we pay tribute to the men and women across the globe who dedicate their lives to protecting the world’s natural heritage. Londolozi’s rangers and trackers spend a great deal of their time and energy educating their guests and enjoying this piece of wilderness with them, and we want to thank them for the zeal they add to this team.
It must be said however that there are also heroes out here who are not and cannot be seen, photographed or known on social media. Teams that spend their days and nights physically protecting this land and its precious creatures, at a time when Africa’s wildlife is facing its greatest poaching threat in decades. Thank you to those men and women who put their lives on the line daily, proving how valuable these tracts of wildernesses and their inhabitants are.
To the rangers and trackers of Londolozi, past and present, thank you! This one is for you:

Well done. You make our safari so special.
Fabulous and a great tribute!
Our thanks go to Callum and Fredy, who took great efforts to make our stay at Londolozi in November 2015 a wonderful experience. Four unforgettable days with many highlights, which we will never forget. Good luc to you both and your colleagues
What a perfect opportunity to acknowledge our Rangers and Trackers publically! Thank you, Lawrence, Equilizer, Nick, Bennett, James and Richard.
I had (sadly) never heard of these jobs, having grown up in Canada and not having been acquainted to these crucial occupations on safari. The care these men took to ensure we were safe and educated in the many aspects of each animal we encountered was impeccable. They greeted each question with care and consideration (and some giggles). At every moment they enjoyed and cared for all ages of our family members. And it was obvious that they loved their jobs, the animals, the land and the adventures of each day.
As we look back at our pictures and chat about each memory, the guides, trackers and rangers are always acknowledged, even by the youngest children in the group. What an impact you all made!
Thanks for choosing your occupation, loving what you do and passing that love on to us! Happy World (Tracker and) Ranger Day.
Amy and James, wonderful tribute and great video to all the exceptional Rangers and Trackers who work tirelessly to protect the land and all the beautiful wildlife, and change the lives of all of us, educating and sharing all the beauty surrounding them with the rest of the world. My life was changed forever after spending some time at Londolozi with these incredible people. Thank you for everything that you do.
Mahalo to each and everyone one of you.
I loved this? Special people?
Awesome! It is always a pleasure to see the people who make the drives and the experience so much more than just a vacation, but the trip of a lifetime! Thank you to all the guides and trackers!
James that is a nice video celebrating the brave men and women guarding the precious wildlife in Africa. Too, nice that you paid tribute to the trackers, who also bravely look for the animals in order that the guests can see them and photograph them. Love this site and love the African animals and bushveld.
Great to see so many familiar faces!! Such a wonderful team.
What a fantastic presentation as a thank you and tribute…such a good looking bunch and many of my favourites in there. A big Thank You from the Trivedis.
Well done you make it possible for us who would rather see animals living the way they were meant to live wild and free and not in zoos
Hip Hip Hooray for all Rangers and Trackers. Such a talented team and mission.
