The last couple of weeks have marked the beginning of summer, a time of vibrancy and excitement in the bush that comes with the changes of a new season. Because summer is a time of colour, bright flowers and green grasses, I decided to go against the grain and see how best I could convert these colourful scenes into black and white. The monochrome compliments the many thunderstorms and overcast days we’ve had this week.
While the images are in black and white, the excitement has not left Londolozi, the rain has brought a welcome relief from the heat and much needed nourishment for the abundance of new life around us.
Enjoy the Week in Pictures!

My favorite is the cheetah – such an unusual and very interesting shot!
These are really stunning Don, I love the flurry of Impala, but still nothing to beat COLOUR 🙂
Very nice. My favs: the cheetah and the elephant trunk.
This was a really wonderful set. I love the elephant details and the mass of impala, especially. Unusual and beautiful.
They’re all really beautiful Don! I especially like the Styx young male.
Such an awesome display of monochrome… Dig the post, Don. Amazing scenes and angles!
Love, love, love the cheetah! Great collection of images.
