This morning, after having a ridiculously good leopard sighting, I felt inspired to go through my computer looking back at some of the leopard pictures that I have taken over the last 4 years. I gave myself the challenge of trying to identify my favourite picture of every individual leopard I have seen on Londolozi. Not necessarily the best in terms of photographic style, technique, composition or lighting, but my personal favourite in terms of the whole package. In other words I was looking for my own photograph of each of Londolozi’s leopards that will be engrained in my minds eye FOREVER.
* note there are a handful of leopards which I either have not seen or have not been able to photograph.
I have been a guide at Londolozi for 4 years, allowing countless hours spent trying to capture these magic moments; some leopards are seen regularly and so I have had many opportunities to get the perfect pic, others I have seen once, and have had to settle for a less then ideal photograph, but often it is these rarer, seldom seen animals that result in their own magic.
I hope you enjoy my collection of the Leopards of Londolozi…
This leopard was born to the Nyelethi female in March 2008, but sadly did not live long enough to establish herself.
