Do you think the Dead Lioness (possibly Styx young lioness) found on the Northern Break was the little one that had an injury on her face? Thank you so much for the updates we love them.
Sheryl
We’re not sure how she was killed and at this stage its an assumption that its a Styx Female. We saw the Styx, Tsalala and Sparta prides in exactly the same place (the clearing on the Northern Break just East of Junction Nanga) over 4 days. The Tsalala and Sparta prides are in tact but we haven’t seen the Styx Pride since. A guess is that she was killed by the 3 Tsalala females but thats mere speculation.
Thanks for the updates, it is great to be able to see the movement of each.
I see Golf Course Male has made it back on to Londolozi, if it’s the one with limp and bald spot on left hip, he has been on Elephant Plains a bit lately too. He is also known as Arathusa Male in that area and Arathusa Private and Simbambili.
I see Satan made it to you, heard the 4 younger males were hot on his trail on night of 19th.
Hi, how do I expand the weekly sightings to read all about the sighting? For example I wish to read about the Sun 20 June entry regarding *Mapogo Male Lion ‘Satan’ Ximpalapala*.
Thanks
Hi Annlyn, you will not be able to expand the sighting at the moment as they are just reports on what animals were seen on daily game drives during the past week. The sightings and locations are up to give an indication of the movements of well known animals around the reserve, however hopefully in due course we will be able to provide you with information about each sighting.
Look forward to them every week! Thanks and keep them coming
Thank you as always for keeping us updated on happenings around Londolozi.
Thank you for updates. Good to see Golf Course Male is still holding out too. Great sightings you all have had with the cats in the last week.
To add to updates on Tsalala Pride: EP saw BB and two cubs yesterday and this morning her two daughters with 4 cubs. So, hopefully just the 2 dead and holding thumbs the others survive.
Great update! Please confirm that the Short tail male(Bicycle Crossing male) is now called Tugwaan Male(3 July)?
