James, you mention the Ndzanzeni and her cub, she had 2 when I saw her in October. Has she lost one? – I don’t remember seeing anything in the blogs.

Yes she originally gave birth to two cubs but sadly lost one when they were around 3-4 months old. Leopard cubs have a high mortality rate in the wild and not many make it to independence. 12 months is usually when a significant drop in mortality rates occur, so her current cub still has a few more months to go before we can start becoming quietly confident about its survival.
