How big you think Anderson male is compared to your other males? Piva male is also a big male.
Anderson looks 3 times the weight of the female…

It’s almost impossible to compare if not in the same sighting or photograph. All males surviving to an age of dominance, especially in the Sabi Sands with such a high leopard mortality rate, will be of impressive size and power. However, we feel that Anderson may be physically bigger than other current males. This is not to say that he is stronger or more dominant, it would be very interesting to see him face off against another.

These are all really gorgeous pictures Sean, so it’s very difficult to pick favourites, but I think your Elephant bull image is one of the best that I have seen! The light painting of the Torchwood is beautiful, and it’s amazing to see the size different between the Nanga female and Anderson male! I love the image of Rob, enjoying a quiet moment and just taking it all in — it must be so incredible, growing up and living every day amongst such beauty and serenity. The picture of the African Jacana is wonderful and I love that, even amongst so many incredible larger animals, you and Rob remembered the smaller creatures and worked so hard to get this shot of the chicks. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures with us!

Sean, I always enjoy your blogs and photos, but especially like the one of Rob this week! Missy and I can’t believe that one year ago today, we were on safari with you and Rob. Best trip ever and we can’t wait to come back to Londolozi!!

In your portrait of him, the coloring and size of the Anderson male remind me of Camp Pan. Is he a descendant?
