So true, we must take regular breaks into nature to find ourselves again, to live in the moment.

Thank you Ryan & Boyd. You are so right as I feel that with the digital explosion, people have lost the art of conversation & are never happier than when “connected” to cell phones, iPads etc, so the bush is a remedy that we all need to cherish!

Great discussion, and so true Ryan and Boyd. We all need to step back from all the iPads, cell phones and computers and reconnect with nature and ourselves. I don’t have anything close to Londolozi in my backyard but it does back onto a forest and I love to sit out there and listen to the birds and get some quiet time.

Wonderful, thoughtful piece! I recently read Boyd’s Cathedral of the Wild and enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend it to those who haven’t read it. Boyd’s responses to Ryan’s excellent questions here were succinct and a nice postlude to the book.

Beautiful article Ryan and Boyd…I’m smiling imagining you both in conversation together…so cool. The words that ring true for me are ceremony and stillness. Thank you!

Thanks Jenifer. I hope to sit down with Boyd more often. I agree, and for me, the most important thing I learnt during our conversation was “ceremony” – the realisation that we have lost it somewhere along the way, and the inspiration to find it again.
