Hi Rich, i was reading an old account that was written by Chris Kane-Berman in August 2007 that mentioned a fight in londolozi between 2 ten yr old male lions and 5 five yr old males, and the fight lasted all night and ended with the 2 older males being killed, he went on to say that the 5 new males ruled londolozi for the next 3 years. I dont know exactly when this fight took place but before August 2007 and was wondering if you could find out what coalitions were involved and the date of the fight. Thanks

It has been 3 years since our last memorable stay - and we are due for another one soon! We had Chris as our guide - he was truly incredible and we learned so much!( give Chris our regards - Its Lesley, husband Nick, my parents and our three big lads - Max Oliver and Toby) We heard last year that Londolozi was pioneering Night Vision equipment for use by the guests on Night Game Drives. If this is so - I wonder if you could advise me as to what type/brand of goggles/monocular I should buy for my husband - he loves going out into the wood at the end of our garden to look for foxes and other wildlife at night. Would really appreciate your advice....

I am so enjoying your website and want to pursue finding a way to visit you. As a writer I would love to contribute a story regarding Ancient Africa from a trip I just took to spend time with the only pride of White Lions not in captivity. A life changing experience that has me rooted to the African Continent although I am American. If it is possible to contribute to your blog could you let me know how to do so.
What a wonderful thing you are all doing. I am happy to have found you.

Blessings, Maya Christobel

Dearest Dave, Shan and everyone who helped make our wonderful dinner such a memorable evening,
Thank you ALL for the huge amount of trouble and effort you went to, to make us feel so welcome and for giving us an evening that most people only dream about! As we arrived to all the lit candles and lanterns and of course our very own sax player, I kept thinking what I could possiby have done to be experiencing all this! The food was all so delicious and such a treat - thank you very, very much for including us and making it such a wonderful evening. It was great catching up with James, Richard and all the other special young people who make up your happy family at Londolozi and we look forward to reading Boyds book when it is launched. You must be so very proud of all you have achieved and what you offer anyone who is lucky enough to visit Londolozi. I really hope Johnny and I are able to return some of your hospitality when you visit the cape and the winelands - we really hope to see you here soon Dave and Shan.
Johnny joins me in sending lots of love to you all,
Gael
