Thank you very much for the great explanations of all these eagles. It is so much easier to understand the differences between them when one can see and compare them like this. I have not always been that much interested in birds, but since I have been on safaris many times I think it is wonderful to try and identify as many birds as possible.

This was an excellent article, full of pertinent information and stunning images. I’d like to suggest that you focus on weavers or on hornbills next. Thank you!

Hi Martha,
Glad you enjoyed it. Hornbill and weavers coming soon…

Hi James, fascinating write-up, which I thoroughly enjoyed! The Fish Eagle, in my opinion, is the most beautiful of Africa’s Eagles and immediately brings back great memories for me — of watching this majestic bird soaring above us while sitting on Tree Camp deck. There are so many beautiful African birds and I can’t wait to see which bird group you choose to focus on for your next post!

Thanks Jill,

Is there a single family you’d like us to cover in future?

Great article! I suggest a post focused on vultures or Accipiters in future.
