Londolozi guest, David Fedonczak, came to Londolozi with his family and I had the great pleasure of meeting them in the Boma last week. I knew that David was an avid follower of our blog and had been for a few months, so it obviously excited me to get onto the topic! When I asked whether he had any great pictures that we could share on the blog, his answer to me was…’I might’ve got one or two lucky shots’. After going through his pictures of their four night stay, I realised that there were no ‘lucky’ shots but pure talent behind the camera! I hope you all enjoy the more that one or two ‘lucky shots’ from David…

The mornings have become incredibly cold over the last week. This gives great opportunities for pictures such as this one.
A Yellow billed hornbill getting the first rays of the morning.
The rutting season season has come to an end, although there are some males still attempting to court females.

This Lilac-breasted Roller’s beautiful colours are incredibly prevalent in this photograph with the background being so dark.
This was the most incredible sighting of a wild dog hunt. The pack was rudely interrupted by Mashaba, who came bounding out of the thicket and chased the dogs away. The rangers thought that her cub might be close by which is why she was so aggressive.
It is incredibly difficult to get a great picture of squirrels as they usually disappear before anyone can reach for their camera, another one of those ‘lucky shots’!
