What an adorable baby…… s/he didn’t seem thrilled with the sound of the camera clicks but will learn in short time that it is safe. Just can’t get over that face. WOW! Many thanks to you for bringing us thus clip

Pleasure Jody, its amazing to see the curiosity and caution in the cubs face when the sound of the camera clicks. Interestingly enough this is one of the best noises to begin habituating a new cub with owing to its unique sound and minimal impact.

So sweet! I just watched Leopard Queen on TV, so now of course I’m worried about this precious little one when mom goes out to hunt! I hope he/she makes it. How long until you can identify the sex?

We should be able to identify the sex once we are able to get a full view of the cub out in the open and see whether it has the elements of a male reproductive system. We will keep you posted!! I know what you mean about mom going out to hunt, this densite is in a nearby area to where JV filmed that fascinating, yet tragic, sightings so many years ago. Thank for you comments, rich

Pure unadulterated seduction on four little legs – heavenly – and ‘Mum’ looks very relaxed. So good to see.

I wish I was here. Thanx a lot….
I hope this cute cub will survive and so having the change to see him when I will come back…
I’m sure his mother will take care of him…
Congretulation for your so great contribution to this blog.

Thank you karine, we are also sure that mom will take care of this little one. No doubt we will keep you updated on his/her progress until you next return and attempt to search for it out on game drive. Thank you for your comment. rich

We need a name for the little dude! I LOVE it that we know his or her auntie (the Nottens female) and look forward to meeting Momma next year! I’m voting for Paul’s Cross Leopard! Could be appropriate if it turns out to be a tough guy. Or Paula’s Cross???
