Why Kingsley Heath Rocks

As a girl living deep in the African Bush, my weakness for Vogue, Prada and Ralph Lauren can get the better of me.  So under the guise of a well planned ‘sales’ trip I nip off to New York or London to get my fix.  Over the years I have met some incredibly stylish women on my travels: Liz Biden, Lizzie Westby-Nunn, Kirsty Ratcliffe and my own wonderful mum have each shown me a few fashion tricks….but the reality is that in the bush it is dust, heat and mud all the way. But that doesn’t that you can’t always look gorgeous.

So many different people have had a love affair with Africa, it is a place that slowly consumes you, holds you and becomes part of you for the rest of your life.  I leave you with one of my favorite poems:

And you won’t be right again.
Until you can watch the setting moon

And hear the jackals bark
And know that they are around you waiting in the dark
When you long to see the elephants.

When the moon rise sets your blood on fire you have been away to long…

It is time to cut the traces loose
And let your heart go free
Beyond that far horizon
Where your spirit yearns to be…..
